Will wall decals work on a slightly textured wall?

i have very slightly textured walls in my new house. i was wanting to put up wall decals in my babies nursery. will they stick very well? Will wall decals work on a slightly textured wall?
Probably not. Those decals really only work well on smooth surfaces.

You could opt for a few cute and colorful framed pictures and hang them at a good viewing height for the babies viewing from the crib.

Put a few pics on a couple of walls and hang them in a row, spaced evenly. Will wall decals work on a slightly textured wall?
I make the vinyl wall decals. It depends on the texture. If it is a flat stucco texture, it will work if you apply it and work it into the grooves. Or if you apply it lightly without pressing it, you can keep it a little more smooth... you just have to make sure no one presses on it at a later time.

If you have the type of texture that is bumpy, it will stick as well... but you may not be happy with the look.

I could mail you a sample of vinyl if you would like so you could test it out and see if it works for you.
It depends what you mean by slightly textured.

If you mean the texture that is a plastered brick wall covered in paint then this should be okay.

If the wall has a sand bagged finish, or suede style texture then this will probably create too much texture for the wall decal.

You can always ask a company for a small sample to try.
May not, unless you wallpaper paste them well.

How about just hiring a local artist to do a wall mural...
Probably not unless you add a supplemental adhesive.
