The texture of one's brain?

There has been scientific evidence to support that the bumpier a person's brain is, the more intelligent they seem to be, right?

Why would ridges in the brain affect a person's thinking ability? Anything to do with surface area? The texture of one's brain?
As people learn they're brain forms more and more links called synapses. The synapses would create the texture I assume. The texture of one's brain?
what your doing here is conjecture

a statement like-There has been scientific evidence to support that the bumpier a person's brain is, the more intelligent they seem to be is meaningless unless you see that evidence it will tell you the reason

its much more fun if you know the answer before you pose the question

which is

The more intelligent an animal is the bumpier the brain

The more intelligent the animal is the bigger the head

but you don鈥檛 want a bigger head.

as you would tend to fall over

how do we get a big brain into a little head?

鈥ake a half sheet of paper.

鈥ry to put it into a film container 鈥?it doesn't fit.

鈥crunch up the paper and look at the bumps on it.

鈥tuff it into the film container 鈥?now it fits.

鈥hat is how you get a big brain into a small skull.
