don't use stain, use paint thinned with water and some kind of glazing crap available wherever fine paints are sold. try brushing it on and using a squeegee to take it off. beautiful effect!

What can I use to stain/glaze my textured wall?
We just applied ';knock-down'; to our walls and painted them a warm yellow. I would like to warm it up more by adding a stain or glaze to the walls then wiping off so it stays in the crevices. I was told I could not use stain. Is this true? And if so, suggestions for a type/brand of glaze?What can I use to stain/glaze my textured wall?
