Putting up border, wall is inconsistant, very textured on one wall, what should we do?

I don't think it'll stick, but you can TRY buying powdered wallpaper paste and mixing it up and applying it to the border. If that doesn't work, you'll have to sand the area down and re-apply it. There isn't any need to buy new. Just reapply the used section. I have had to do this many times and it does work.
I wouldnt bother, boarders are out of fashion now
